Facial Fillers

Restore fullness to the skin and smooth away unwanted wrinkles

While the skin ages naturally over time, gravity and loss of elasticity causes our skin to sag. We lose definition, gain fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet. Genetics, exposure to the sun, stress, overall health and our diet can speed up this process. This can make us look and feel tired, older and feel less confident in our own skin. Dermal fillers are popular and effective treatments for those who want to minimise the signs of aging by filling out and smoothing away lines and furrows. Dermal fillers such as Juvederm are also effective for increasing fullness to narrow lips, enhancing sunken cheeks and can even be used to contour the bridge of the nose.

Customer service is exceptional in Auralia always professional and extremely friendly staff.

About this treatment

Background to the procedure

Our recommended filler, Juvederm has a smooth gel consistency, which, when injected, helps to restore fullness to the skin and smooth away unwanted wrinkles. Juvaderm contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body. Hyaluronic acid binds with collagen and elastin and plays a key role in the maintenance of skin volume and hydration, eye volume and shape.

A minimally invasive procedure with immediate, long lasting results, Juvaderm is injected into treatment areas which may add volume and give the appearance of smoother skin.

What would I expect at the consultation?

All consultations are private one-on-one sessions that normally last 15-20 minutes. Your Doctor will talk you through the procedure and your expectations of the results.

What is involved with Facial Fillers?

Depending on the area treated, your skin, and the injection technique, Juvederm will last 4 to 6 months. In some cases, duration of the effects can be a bit shorter or longer. Juvederm Ultra Plus is thicker and last approximately 6-9 months.

What is the recovery after Facial Fillers?

There is a quick recovery with this procedure and you can resume normal activities although your Doctor will advise if there is anything you need to avoid within the first 24 hours after treatment such as strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages.

What are the risks of complication?

Patients who are using medication that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, as with any injection, may experience increased bruising or bleeding at the injection site. You should inform your Doctor before treatment if you are using these types of medication. There are other possible side effects of fillers, which your Doctor will give you in detail at your consultation.

Aftercare

Patient care has always been at the forefront of everything we do, this is why we are a leading cosmetic surgery provider in Ireland. We believe that ‘aftercare’ is just as important a part of the entire cosmetic treatment procedure as the treatment itself. With Auralia, you can be rest assured that all your aftercare needs will be completely fulfilled, providing you the support you need for a fast and stress-free recovery.
