Genitalia repair and correction
All I can say is from the very first visit until my last I could not say one bad thing about my experience with this clinic. Everyone there was so nice and I felt very comfortable they worked around what suited me best.I had my first consultation with Dr Salman who was my surgeon he was lovely and made it very easy for me to chat and explain what I was concerned about.
I had a lot of appointments beforehand, Dr Salman was very patient and helpful, answered all my questions and never pressured me into making a decision.
Went to the Dublin clinic and I cannot fault one staff member. From the girls at the front to the nurses and anesthesiologist at the back and Dr Salmen himself, everybody was extremely professional, compassionate and friendly. Follow up care is fantastic and the results speak for themselves. I would highly recommend auralia.
About this treatment
Background to labiaplasty and vaginoplasty
A labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that is used to shape or trim the appearance of the inner and outer lips of the vagina. The inner layers are known as labia minora, which cover the clitoris and protect the vagina. The outside of the vagina is called the labia majora, and this is an area that can become distorted, elongated or stretched from childbearing, sexual intercourse or simply aging.
There is also more than one version of labiaplasty procedure, and a woman’s unique anatomy will be a major determinant of the surgical procedure to be performed. After a labiaplasty, the labia are smaller, less fleshy, and symmetrical.
Vaginoplasty, also called vaginal rejuvenation, is a separate procedure to labiaplasty and allows women to regain vaginal strength and restore their sexual pleasure and comfort, particularly after childbirth. In some cases, women choose to have their vaginoplasty procedure combined with a labiaplasty. After vaginoplasty, a woman’s vaginal opening is smaller and the muscles are more taut, both of which allow for greater sensation, contraction strength and control during sexual intercourse.

What is involved with labiaplasty
In general terms, a labiaplasty is the surgical excision (removal) of labial tissue. Usually an outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia, a labiaplasty takes between one and two hours, depending in part on how much tissue is to be removed. The incision(s) for the labia reduction are relatively small and will leave minimal, perhaps undetectable, scars.
What is the recovery after labiaplasty
Immediately after a labiaplasty, a woman may experience mild and temporary swelling or discomfort, symptoms that usually subside completely after one or two weeks. A patient may return to a non-strenuous job within five to seven days, and she may be able to resume sexual relations within about six weeks, depending on the specific circumstances of her surgery.
What are the risks of complication?
All surgeries, no matter how safe, carry some amount of risk, including infection, scarring and pain. You will have a chance to talk frankly with your surgeon about any worries you might have, and any possible risks will be clearly and honestly communicated with you before you make any decisions. You’ll also be given a copy of everything in writing, so you can take them home and go through them at your own pace. We’re also here for you if you have any questions!

Is there a period of time after surgery that I should refrain from sexual activity?
Generally, you should refrain from any type of sexual intercourse (vaginal penetration) for a period of 6 weeks. Your doctor would advise you if there was a change in this waiting period.
Will there be scars?
Yes, but they probably won’t be noticeable. Your doctor will make every effort to keep incisions as minimal as possible and try to hide them in the natural lines and creases of your skin. The scars will fade over time and become barely noticeable.
